Back to Basics
Here’s us doing what we do best. Rocking out basics with an edge. Military boots and an armful of accessories. It’s how we do (naturally).

This past week has been incredibly sunny in Los Angeles. The occasional, windy breezes, however, prompted us to sport our latest finds from Chicago, which includes an asymmetrical shirt from Opening Ceremony found at Nordstrom Rack (Ernie) and a Topshop angora sweater paired with ombre pant from Zara (Tommy).
Ernie: I’ve always been more of a resourceful shopper. Nordstrom Rack fits the bill when it comes to finding high-end designer garb on the dime. I really lucked out with my OC asymmetrical shirt!

Tommy: Most of what I am wearing are from the women’s section at Topshop and Zara. I often encourage petite guys, like myself, to peruse the women’s section, especially the sales racks (!), to see what they can find. Nowadays, the bulk of womenswear is borderline androgynous and unisexual. I literally gasped when I spotted this angora sweater by its lonesome on the sales floor of Topshop!

Safari Time
Los Angeles sometimes evoke feelings of being in an urban jungle. We wanted to channel that same energy with our outfits.
Ernie: This is an outfit that I can see on most of my fellow guy friends, especially for a casual outing during the daytime. It’s very simple to put together: a simple beige shirt layered on top of a henley paired with a camel pant and suede boots. Done!

Tommy: I am always up for a safari-do with a bit more flair. My beige paisley scarf from Zara can dress up any outfit, but you can still look comfortable in a pair of carrot top pants. The pastel blue really pops against the overall, color neutrality of the outfit.

Denim/Tweed
Tommy: Yes, it’s just me this time. Ernie and I have been very busy at work! Since we’re on different projects, our schedules don’t sync up all the time. I snuck off for a quick break and stopped by to smell the flowers (literally). A quick confession on my outfit: I’ve always wanted to do a denim on denim outfit. It’s a 90s cliche that I wanted to rework in a more modern and chic way, hence the addition of a tweed overcoat!
